Carn Mor Glenburgie Tasting Notes

Posted: June 5, 2017 in Glenburgie, Scotch Whisky A-G

Carn Mor Strictly Limited Glenburgie 2011 (5 year old) 46%

Bourbon Barrel/ Dist: 2011 Btl: 2017/ Tasted: Mar 2017

A pleasantly fresh and grassy nose with lime, barley and subtle, creamy oak notes. Quite charming and classically Speyside with late toffee’d notes which give the aromas some roundness.

The palate is fresh, grassy and citric with barley, white fruit and hints of straw and lightly bittering oak. Good depth an intensity with an alcohol enhanced citric bite in the finish, which does make it feel a little austere.
