The nose is flat and over carameled. I’m struggling to get much from this. Very homogenous with a touch of citrus, spice and sherry. With time hints of malt, vinegar and mint appears.

The palate is again bland and caramel flattened. There’s a little sherry sweetness, malt and spice. Oh and let’s not forget the bitter oak/caramel finish.

A heavily sherried nose. Slightly sulphured and metallic with a fair amount of (non natural?) bitter caramel along with earthy, grubby malt and spice.

The palate is watery and slightly sulphured with grubby spices and sherried dried fruit. Again bitter caramel on the middle with malt, treacle and liquorice. Grubby, slightly smoky, bitter finish. It hasn’t really got any better over the years!
