D.H Krahn Tasting Notes

D.H Krahn Californian Gin 40%

Single distilled.

Italian Juniper, Moroccan Corriander, Califonian Lemon and Grapefruit, Florida Orange, Thai Ginger

Tasted: Aug 2008

The nose is very much like London Dry with plenty of citrus lemon and botanicals. The palate is pleasant if a bit astringent, especially on the finish. It would probably work well with tonic but I’m not keen on it neat.

D.H Krahn California Gin 40%

Re- Tasted: Sept 2013

Quite an oily nose but pleasantly fresh with an oily, wheaty character along with hints of juniper, citrus and lemon grass.

The palate is soft and lightly oiled with sweet juniper and plenty of tangy grapefruit. Lightly floral with an almost crystallised orange note. Medium length with a lovely gingery finish.
