Langley’s Tasting Notes

Posted: April 21, 2014 in English Gin, Gin

Langley’s No8 Gin 41.7%

Distilled at Langley’s distillery, West Midlands

Tasted Nov/ Dec 2013

A reasonably fresh nose with sweet conserve like orange/ lemon, juniper and liquorice root. With time the liquorice root becomes quite dominating with developing oils and subtle spices.

The palate is fresher with some almost perfumed white fruit, citrus and coriander. The perfumed notes becomes a little overpowering and rather sweet. Long with the liquorice root, coriander, nutmeg and cinnamon lingering. A very expressive nose but the palate is a little too sweet and perfumed.
